Elderly Woman Injured By Pickup Truck
An elderly couple in their 70’s was struck by a pick-up truck while they attempting to make left turn. The police report stated that the husband driver was at fault for the accident, but liability was nonetheless disputed.
The wife claimed to have suffered a head injury though her previous injuries – dementia and stroke – made it difficult to determine the extent to which the collision contributed to her condition. However, persuasive evidence showed that before the accident, our client was an independent person. And after the violent crash, she was not able to function as independently as before.
After much negotiation, defendant offered $410,000 to settle her claim.
