Hospital Hired Fake Doctor
FACTS: The medical facility Executive Health hired Dr. Gerald Barns, who, as was later discovered through FBI investigation, not actually a doctor. Barns examined patients and prescribed medication without a medical license. He was ultimately imprisoned for fraudulently posing as a physician.
A class action was filed against the Executive Health medical facility for improper hiring and failure to perform a background check. We succeeded in obtaining a payout of maximum insurance policy limits of $7.65 million on behalf of several hundred claimants.
